February Love ❤️

Updated: Mar 2, 2021

To me every day should be the day of love. If an doesn’t this pandemic teach us to appreciate every moment. I like to think I find joy in the small things, the sun shining, the brightness of the moon, the twinkling stars.
“A single rose can be my garden...a single friend my World” Leo Buscaglia
Greetings All.
It’s February the month of love, we have the celebration of St Valentine, but love is every day ...right? Shouldn‘t everyday be a celebration of love. The feeling of love is the highest frequency we can emit, so let the light of love radiate your whole being.
We think of great love stories like Romeo and Juliet. Krishna and Radha. What is love for you? Is it a gentle kiss from a loved one, a cherished memory, the glow of the morning sunrise. The simple act of kindness can have a profound effect on others and ourselves. Do you count your blessings each day, write in a gratitude journal, or does the monkey mind take charge chattering away a list of problems and fears?
What about self-care, self-love We need to cherish ourselves to cherish others. This is a huge part of my daily routine, especially over the last few months. It's early days since losing my beautiful Father in December, and this has been a practice that I immensely appreciate. Simply taking time out for me. We all need this time to be the best version of ourselves, so we can show up and serve others to the best of our ability.
Today I want to share three things that have made me smile this month. The power of three, such a magical number
After not teaching for four months, seeing the faces of my yoga tribe was an absolute delight, it really lightened my heart and brought a smile to my face. I’m truly grateful to all who joined me on the mat. A big thank you 🙏 Having quiet time to sit with a tea. savouring every drop can be super mindful. So I'm going to share the recipe for a soul soothing drink shared by my soul sister, kindred yogini and travel buddy Isabel, founder of Mindful Hatha Yoga in Germany. It will warm your heart, and it’s also great for digestion.
Place the following into a pan:
8-10 cloves
Half a cinnamon stick
+1 small tsp of ajwain seeds into 1 filter of cold water + bring to the boil
Boil for 3-5 mins (not more than 5mins, as may taste bitter)
Pour into a tea pot through a sieve + add 1 tblspoon of honey or maple syrup. Enjoy.
Finally, Neil's Yard Remedies ‘Wild Rose Dry Body Oil.’ Wow wow wow!!! It’s organic, cruelty free with rosehip seed oil and naturally derived olive leaf extracts. It feels simply divine on the body. I have been using NYR oils in my practice and retreats, but this is the first time using this body oil, and I love it!!! Here is the link to my web shop, have a look round something may catch your eye, or why not treat yourself to this divine oil. You know you deserve it!!

One final thought for this month. As you go to sleep be thankful. Wake up and be thankful. Even on the dark difficult days there’s always something to be thankful for. Wishing you peace and blessings. With a grateful heart. Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti. Debbie ❤️
